My dog went in for a respiratory infection that isn’t very serious (he had the same thing last winter) and after checking him out and determining he wasn’t too sick (their words, not mine), before even prescribing medication for him which fixed the problem last year, the doctor tried to feel me out on whether I would be interested in getting him X-rays to check for pneumonia. It was bizarre; it literally felt like she was feeling out how much money I made.. there was no medical need whatsoever to be discussing X-rays. Also, one of the first things she said to my dog was “I bet you don’t like to be told no” which was just passive aggressive and weird to me. My dog also squealed in pain and ran away bc she tried to take his temperature in his anus; I’ve had dogs my entire life and I’m 41 and I’ve never had a vet do that. Anyways, wont be going back.

I am so grateful to have a veterinarian who consistently provides such outstanding care. Highly recommend!

Besides expensive regular check ups, they recommended dental work for our cat and quoted almost $2,000! Another vet in the city just recommended we brush our cat's teeth at home; we saw improvement and by avoiding VCA Animal Care we not only saved $2k but avoided an unnecessary, invasive, and stressful procedure on our kitty. 10 months later and kitty is fine with no dental issues...
