- NSnick smithFeb 22, 20185.0So i bought a sony str-dh770 reciever back in november 2017. Only had it 3 months and it went into protection mode randomly a few nights ago and woudnt come out of it. I did all the steps and to no luck it was still broken. I had a 4yr warranty and the manufacturers warranty still on it. So i went into best buy to talk to geek squad and i talked to andy the guest service specialist and he was very understanding and helpful. He had bob who was a manager assist him and they exchanged my defective unit for a brand new one and transferred my warranty without issue. Overall 5 star service im very happy with the outcome.
