The founder of the firm, Mícheál Ó’Móráin, was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1933. Upon qualification he established the office of Michael Moran & Co. Solicitors in Castlebar, County Mayo.
Mícheál was later elected as a Teachta Dála for various Mayo constituencies and was subsequently elevated to cabinet positions such as Minister for Lands, Minister for the Gaeltacht, and Minister for Justice. Mícheál had a long career as a solicitor and continued to practise up until his death in 1983.
The office of Michael Moran & Co. is conveniently located near Main Street, Castlebar. Since its establishment, Michael Moran & Co. have provided legal advice to clients throughout County Mayo and beyond. The office has provided services to a diverse client base from generation to generation. We provide a Client centred approach which is adopted to ensure that the needs of our Clients are catered for at all times.
