First Choice Interior Sprayers has been in operation for over 10 years, providing high-quality interior spray painting services for new builds and homes across all of Ireland.
Our initial roots were in the traditional painting and decorating market, moving into interior spray painting having seen a gap in the market for this particular service. Here at First Choice Interior Sprayers, we pride ourselves on offering a high-quality service that you can rely on.
Quality was always paramount to us, and after investigating the largely American concept of spraying the walls and ceilings of a new build, the benefits were clearly shown.
We knew that this would be a very useful service for the many new home builders across the island and so, began to provide this innovative service. In the months that followed, we trained our staff and acquired the latest spraying technology to carry out interior spray painting services to new builds across Ireland. Spraying contracts quickly started to overtake traditional works and it wasn’t long before we were catering solely for spraying contracts.

Is it possible to touch up a spray painted finish?
Yes, the paint we use and the spray like finish rollers we supply you with can effectively deal with any touch ups.
Is a spray job as good as a brush and roller job?
A spray job leaves a smooth finish and has no brush or roller marks. Most clients appreciate this feature. IN regards to adhesion, once the correct preparation procedures are followed there is no difference when comparing both methods.
How long will the spray painting last for?
A spray job’s lifespan is similar to a brush and roller finish. However, if good quality paint is used, the smooth spray painted finish can keep it looking fresher for longer.
At what stage should the spray painting job be done?
To maximise the cost saving for the client, a spray job on a new build should be done before 2nd fix electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and tiling.
Does a spray job require special paint?
No. A spray job uses the exact same paint as a brush and roller.
Do you require a deposit to book a spray job?
Our clients satisfaction is of utmost importance. Payment is processed on the final day of the job when the work is completed.
Can you have a different colour on the walls and ceilings?
This is possible and gives an excellent finish. However, it is not recommended for new builds as it can be expensive and may also get damaged by other trades finishing their work.
Will I have to do any more coats after the spray job?
First Choice Interior Sprayers leave a finished job with all sanding and filling completed. There is no requirement for further coats after our job.
Is the spray finish good enough to live on for a few years?
Many of our clients will live on our 2 coat sprayed finish for many years. The uniform colour applied usually leads to client adding additional splashes of colours as the years go on.
Do you sand the plaster prior to spraying?
We will sand what’s called “nibs and snots” (plaster droppings). We also sand minor irregularities. However, we are not there to make a bad plaster job perfect.
If I want a different colour, how many coats of a new colour will I need over the spray finish?
Like a brush and roller finish, standard practise for changing a colour would be 2 coats.
How long does a spray job take?
Our service is normally complete in 2-3 days.
What moisture levels should the walls be at for painting?
The best areas to check are the corners of the window reveals where the steel angle bead was fixed. These areas stay wet for the longest. You should get a reading of 12 or below before spraying.
How long should plastering be finished before painting a new build?
A This ranges but a general rule of thumb would be Summer 3-4 weeks Winter 4-6 weeks.
