Shane was so helpful and knowable. He made getting a new iPhone easy. I always dread getting a new phone, but today was the best experience I've had. Wtg Shane and Verizon!

This location has been top notch! Jared (manager) Eric, Shane and Erik (district manager?) each went above and beyond for my husband and I. A total of 17 hours over 5 days to get our port over from the other carrier. So many road blocks, but each of these guys spent precious time to get it right. We are blessed by each of you and so thankful for the expertise they each brought!

I have been experiencing ongoing phone issues for over three months, where apps will not download or update, making my phone nearly unusable. I finally had time to visit the Verizon store on 17th Street, and unfortunately, my experience there was extremely disappointing.
When I arrived, the staff appeared reluctant to help me. They attempted the same troubleshooting steps I have already tried countless times on my own, and when those didn’t work, I was told I could either pay $50 for a replacement device (since I am insured) or go to UBreakIFix. Wanting to avoid further hassle, I agreed to the $50 option.
I was then asked to wait at a table while other employees repeated the exact same troubleshooting steps, ending with the same result. After only a few minutes, I was told I would need to call Tech Support and provide video proof that my phone wasn’t working — despite the fact that multiple employees had already witnessed the issues firsthand. This was confusing, frustrating, and felt dismissive.
Throughout the entire interaction, the employees came across as disinterested and unhelpful. They seemed eager to get rid of me rather than provide a solution. Their tone was rude, and the level of customer service was unprofessional at best.
To make matters worse, when I provided my mobile number and my name (as the account owner), I was told it was incorrect. This only added to the confusion and lack of confidence in the support I was receiving.
The store was not busy at the time — just one customer checking out, a couple sitting in the back, and several employees standing around. Given that, I expected more effort, patience, and professionalism in resolving my issue. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, disregarded, and with no solution to a problem that has dragged on for months.
This experience reflects poorly on Verizon and is the reason I hesitate to go into stores for support. I strongly urge management to address the lack of customer care and professionalism at this location.
