  2 types of Verizon stores exist, Corporate and Franchise. STICK TO CORPORATE, AND SAVE YOURSELF A WORLD OF TROUBLE. Iowa Falls is a FRANCHISE store: 1) They have limited access; often can't handle complex billing, warranty issues, or advanced account changes. 2) Employed by independent retailer, and their training and expertise can vary wildly... 3) May charge extra "dealer" or "setup" fees to make a commission. This is where you can truly get **/**\ (if you know what I mean). 4) Consistency can be all over the map, depending on the private owner. CORPORATE locations: 1) They have full access to all of Verizon's internal systems. 2) Directly employed and trained by Verizon. 3) Less likely to charge extra fees for things like activations or SIM cards. 4) Highly consistent experience from one store to the next. 5) Saves you the headache because they are the final word and have the full toolbox. I've had fast (under 10 minutes), pleasant, and friendly experiences at Waterloo and Fort Dodge CORPORATE locations. I've had hours of excruciating, unprofessional, understaffed, and disrespectful experiences at Iowa Falls and Ames FRANCHISE locations. The difference is so substantial, the Verizon employee in Fort Dodge stated in front of several customers, "If you walk into a Verizon store and discover it's a franchise, turn around and walk out!" Most customers didn't know the difference...I wish I had this information a long time ago.

  Paying your bill is very difficult at this location and they charge a $3 cash processing fee? Wack

  Outstanding customer service provided by Mike last night. I cannot say enough about how great our experience was with trading in a old phone and getting a new one. We arrived an hour before closing time but at no time did he act like he was in a hurry to get us out of there. We were his number one priority and he made sure we were totally comfortable operating our new phone before we left. We are actually sold on Verizon due to this kind of customer service! Thanks again Mike!
