I took my broken MacBook Air in for a repair. It took a total of 2 appointments, the first was a consultation and when my repair parts were ordered. The second was to drop off my Mac once the new parts arrived. Waiting for the parts to come in took around 4/5 days. The actual repair was done quicker than I was expecting as well, I dropped it off on a Tuesday evening and got it back on Sunday evening. All the techs were super friendly & fast. :) also, if anyone was wondering it cost $460 (I did not have apple care) for a completely new Mac book screen/lcd/eyebrow & complete replacement of the top half of my Mac. The repair was done in house by the apple techs. Everything looks great :)

Outstanding Experience at Ala Moana Apple Store – February 1, 2026
Dear Apple Store Management,
I am writing to share a very positive experience I had at the Ala Moana Apple Store on the morning of February 1, 2026.
Earlier that day, I purchased an iPhone 17, a 13-inch iPad Pro, and AirPods online as a gift for my wife. I arrived at the Ala Moana Apple Store at approximately 11:30 AM and was greeted by Kelson, who was extremely friendly, professional, and courteous. From the moment we met, his positive attitude and genuine willingness to help made the experience refreshing and enjoyable.
Within minutes, Kelson had my items brought out, and I was then introduced to ZHE, who was equally friendly, helpful, and professional. ZHE assisted with setting up the iPhone to the point where I needed to visit T-Mobile to complete the carrier switch. After completing that step, I returned to the store, where Tonatiuh and Chris finished the setup process efficiently and with great care.
Every team member I interacted with was attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The entire process was smooth, well-coordinated, and stress-free. Most importantly, the staff ensured everything was handled correctly so that these gifts were ready for my wife exactly as intended.
This experience was truly night and day compared to my visit to the Kahala Apple Store the previous day. The Ala Moana team demonstrated what exceptional customer service should look like — clear communication, professionalism, and genuine care for the customer’s experience.
Please extend my sincere thanks to Kelson, ZHE, Tonatiuh, and Chris for making this such a positive and memorable visit. Because of them, I will absolutely choose the Ala Moana Apple Store for future purchases and support.

Today I brought my mom into the Ala Moana Apple Store to upgrade her very outdated iPad Pro (3rd gen). She was more than ready for something new and shiny, and the experience exceeded our expectations.
Phyo Phyo was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, patient, and genuinely warm—and this was close to closing time, which made her kindness and attentiveness even more impressive. She never rushed us and made us feel truly valued and appreciated. She walked us through the different iPad options, helped us understand the features, and secured a trade-in value for my mom’s old device.
We did run into a small hiccup during the trade-in process, but this is where the Apple team really shined. Phyo Phyo immediately pulled in additional support, including several technicians and Tyler, a senior manager. They worked together seamlessly, troubleshooting the issue efficiently and professionally until everything was resolved.
What really stood out was how often other staff members checked in on us as well—asking if we needed water, had questions, or needed anything at all. That level of attentiveness made the experience feel thoughtful and well-coordinated rather than transactional.
We left feeling taken care of, confident in the purchase, and genuinely impressed by the teamwork and customer service. I would absolutely recommend Phyo Phyo and Tyler if you’re visiting this location—and honestly, the entire staff deserves recognition. This is exactly how customer service should be done.

On 12/29/25, I made a Genius Bar appointment for my 2015 MacBook Pro as I was having all sorts of computer problems from not loading apps, not properly sending emails, but the computer would start and sort of fuction, but definitely something was wrong and maybe it was on it's last life. As a last resort after another Genius Bar Technician told me to back up my Hard Drive and/or computer, which I did and made this appointment to totally erase everything from the computer and start over again and if this did not work, I would have to spend at the minimum over $1,000 to purchase a 2025 MacBook Air. I was assigned Genius Bar Technician (Paul) and he did from his experience do what was necessary and we completely erase everything from my 2015 MacBook Pro and reinstalled the latest version that my computer could accommodate, which is macOS Monterey 12.7.6., which was fine with me as I do not really use my computer much, e.g. I am using it only to do some basics like emailing, simple spread sheets, surf the net and the latest is using AI. To my SATISFACTION, WHAT PAUL DID WORKED AND I WOULD LIKE YOU TO KNOW THAT HE IS ONE OF THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE GENIUS BAR TECHNICIAN I HAVE ENCOUNTERED AND I BELIEVE HE IS A SENIOR GENIUS BAR TECHNICIAN WITH HIS YEARS OF SERVICE. APPLE, INC. YOU HAVE A VERY VALUABLE EMPLOYEE IN PAUL AND I AM SURE THRU MY EXPERIENCE, HE IS GIVING EVERY APPLE CONSUMER THE BEST COSTUMER EXPERIENCE THEY DESERVE AND SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS. 5 STARS TO YOU PAUL!!!
