  I was really impressed by the swift response to my enquiry and the allocation of a surveyor to help with a property issue. Following an inspection, the report was comprehensive, both with details of the issues and suggestions of how to resolve them. This has been a difficult time for my family following bereavement of my father and the satisfactory way in which Philip Goacher Associates has helped deal with the property issue has substantially reduced the stress we were experiencing. We are now able to move on and hopefully resolve our property issues. Many thanks Sam.

  We have recently been involved on a project with Philip Goacher Associates (Dave Gierke in particular) and I must say their service was excellent. We (as the main building contractor on the project) ran into a few very unusual challenges associated to the installation of steelwork, this required many conversations and patience to get this project over the line - luckily Dave was the perfect man for the job. Thorough approach, very experienced and a breath of fresh air to deal with with. Nothing seemed too much trouble. After our dealings with Dave (as we were put in touch via our mutual client) we will definitely look to work with him and Philip Goacher Associates on future projects as well as recommend to future clients requiring their services.

  The engineer guessed which way my joists ran and guessed wrong. The resulting calcs produced were incorrect and cost me thousands of pounds of unnecessary work and materials. The excuse was "I am correct 90% of the time, unfortunately you are in the 10%" What is the point paying for a professional service when they just guess!! My review still stands regardless of Mr Goacher's comments below. They may cover themselves legally by expecting everyone else to check their work before commencement, but this isn't morally or ethically right!! As a professional service they should do everything they can to understand the existing structure of a property. The simple purchase of a joist finder for £30 would have avoided this whole situation. Making false claims about the ability of my builder who has gone over and above to rectify the situation is abhorrent.
