When we moved into our new house, we inherited a beautiful but neglected and overgrown pond and had no idea where to start.
Barry, at Glorious Ponds was superb.
He knows exactly what he is doing and we had full confidence in his skills. He distilled the water into large containers, while preserving the wildlife in the pond and cleaned it out thoroughly and put it all back together for us.
He gave us advice on the filters and pumps that we needed to get the pond back into good working order and even offers a service on the pond to keep it maintained.
It is now the jewel in our garden and we couldn't have done it without Barry.
Barry and his team have been brilliant from first communication to completion of my pond clean (including filter and pump overhaul). He is professional, friendly and very efficient. Barry’s knowledge of ponds and their care, including plants, pumps, filters etc., is extensive. A first class service.
Barry & Co have been coming to me for a couple of years now. He always turns up whenever he says he would, Will promptly answer any concerns I have, especially with my fish… He has made keeping a pond and fish really easy!

He thinks he has the monopoly in this field and he certainly exploits it! The customer (in his eyes) is wrong, always wrong! Paid 10K and the cement in our coping stones and patio disintigrated within a week (no exaggeration). A battle for free repair then ensued which lasted months and months. Repairs finally done and again the cement has not held the coping stones in place (patio yet to be tested). Our original plan was redesigned by Glorious Ponds, not us! (Yes, we now realise our mistake) We naively relied on his knowledge - mistake no1!
When it began to fall apart, we were shocked to be told that the weather was too cold and that we had allowed the water level to get too high. It's winter and he'd set the filter level TOO high - not our error and we can't control rainfall but we were blamed for it!!! The ultimate was that he accused us of SABOTAGING his work! Why would we give him our money and do that? Disgraceful!! His work was not only NOT fit for purpose but was UNSAFE. I could not and would not EVER recommend Glorious Ponds.
