  Richard did a fantastic job stripping the beams in our 16th century house. His communication was brilliant, he was punctual, well-priced and very personable. He also tidied up really well after a very messy job. All in all exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend.

  Richard is a honest hard working person. Sand blasting to clean wood is a messy process but he tapes everything up beforehand and cleans up after.

  Richard was engaging and easy to talk to from the very start he is very knowledgeable and happy to share his expertise. Our kitchen wall had been covered with plasterboard we weren’t sure if a restoration was possible but after exchanging photos and chatting with Richard we were confident enough to go ahead. We are absolutely thrilled with the final result. The sandblasting process is messy but Richard kept this to a minimum by covering the room with plastic sheeting and cleaning up afterwards. We would highly recommend this company.

  Richard and his team have just completed beam and stair balustrade cleaning in our 18 century Grade 2 listed building and what a fantastic job they have done! The beams have been brought back to life having been thickly covered in black, white, and varnished coatings. Richard was very prompt in replying to our original enquiry and provided a very reasonable quote. He was flexible and worked around our schedule and then went above and beyond our cleaning requirements when it came to carrying out the work. Richard is very courteous, hardworking and was sympathetic to the timberwork in our house and thoroughly cleaned up after the work was done. When other tradesman saw the beams, they also were extremely impressed and have requested Richard’s contact details, which we were more than happy to oblige. We highly recommended Protinus.

  Richard and his team did an excellent job in cleaning many beams in my old house that goes back to the 15th and 16th century. Not only did they appreciate the historical importance of the house, but they also were very sympathetic in their work. I've had experience with another sandblasting company before and they damaged a lot of the infilled panels too, causing expensive repairs. Not so with Protinus. They did the beams, and nothing but the beams! This will never be a dust-free process but they did their utmost to minimize the dist caused, and also did a great job in clearing up afterwards. Basically I wholeheartedly recommend Protinus and with them the best as their business grows.
