  Stephen sold me a refurbished awning for my cafe. The awning turned out to have various function issues and was not fitted adequately around the existing shutter box. I have since learned it should have been ‘packed out’ to avoid interference with the shutter box. Stephen’s fitters revisited my cafe on several occasions making attempts to fix the problems but not once suggesting the “packing out” solution. With the attempts that were made the awning ended up looking unprofessionally installed and it was still interfering with the shutter box. On the fitters final visit they advised there was nothing more they could do for me and I was expected to just put up with the final result. I advised Stephen I wanted to return the awning as it looked terrible and I was within my rights to do so. After Stephen cutting all contact with me for weeks I advised him by email I had lodged a case with Trading Standards. Only then did he send his fitters to take the awning back. Stephen is refusing to give me my 50% deposit back and I have now been forced to lodge my case with the courts to retrieve my money.

  (Sorella Beauty, Edinburgh) Stephen recently replaced the skirt on the awning at my mum’s business in Edinburgh. He did a fantastic job and was so efficient! She will be using his service again when required. Thank you Stephen.
