  I can’t recommend anyone bring their car to this shop. They never informed me beforehand either verbally or on the customer check-in paper form that they charge per hour for simply checking, diagnosing, or confirming an issue. Had I known, I wouldn’t have left my car with them in the first place. This is vital information they should disclose to clients before accepting their vehicles. From my perspective, they took far too long (over an hour) to diagnose a simple wheel vibration issue (not engine-related), just to justify charging their hourly rate of £72. They seem to believe this is reasonable because they called me late on a Saturday afternoon to say they couldn’t initially find the issue. To them, spending an hour “checking” and immediately requesting payment for their time even when their efforts didn’t yield any results was justifiable. From my point of view, they did nothing meaningful for my car situation before demanding payment. Interestingly, they only happened to find the issue minutes after requesting the £72 payment. It almost seems like they wouldn’t have "discovered" the problem had I questioned their tactics and declined during the payment request call. They seem to want that confirmation for the entrap before they gave out a result.. I can’t trust a business that fails to make their charges clear upfront and instead introduces unexpected fees midway through the process. Diagnosing car issues is standard for any professional repair shop. If they had told me outright, “We will charge you £72 just to inspect and confirm the issue,” I would have understood what I was agreeing to. However, I would never have left my car with them in the first place because I could have received a more detailed diagnosis at a better price elsewhere. Furthermore, this wasn’t even a proper or comprehensive car diagnosis. It was just about identifying an issue with the front right wheel. I didn’t receive an email detailing their findings or a professional report only a short phone call with limited information. This falls far short of professional standards.

  I needed my headlight bulb changed on my Hyundai. I intially went to Halfords, but they could not do it for me. I was phoning around, and this was my first call - I didn't bother to call any other garage. The mechanics were very polite and informative, and as a woman I would definitely use them again. They provide a full range of services (check out their website) and I would highly recommend them.

  Fredrick Ebetaleye. I have always taken my car to main car dealer for MOT / Service because I believe in quality regardless of price. But during last bad weather, I was stock at work in London where I saw CLARKES VEHICLE SERVICE LTD. Got my car in for service. Staff were welcoming and my car was given high standard quality of service at a very competitive price and on time. Since then, I have always driven to London ( Clarkes Vehicle Service Ltd) to have my car done. I have recommended this garage to friends & family too. In summary: Lovely people, Great quality garage and excellent service.
