  My son with disabilities ordered a game that I went to pick up I thought just having the time of order and order number would be ok as I hadn’t picked up a game before so simple mistake.They refused to give the product ( that was 6 pounds ) even though I called him and had him send ID ( passport ) . I understand policy but where is the common sense ….over a six pound game I could understand over an expensive order .Shocking lack of empathy , decency and just the ability to think for yourself instead of box ticking .

  Purchased a steam deck just before Christmas for myself, I arrived in store and asked one of the staff members for advice on other gaming handheld devices I was given the advice ‘which ever one you prefer’ when i asked what the differences were. I was then informed about a warranty for 1 year which I thought was amazing: less then 1 week of having the steamdeck I noticed the RB button intermittently failing. I would have taken it back instantly but due to my work schedule I had no time at all. After weeks of not even going on the steam deck I randomly plugged it in to no avail the charger is not working. Device won’t turn on or anything. After retuning this to cex they said they will not honor the warranty because the charger port is all scuffed (barely even used it and 100% was careful every time putting on charge as I know claiming on a warranty that can pull ridiculous things so I specifically looked after it very well. They then said they is a crack in the case and show me the tiniest crack that I believe was originally there. I have barely even been on the device( haven’t dropped it, it has lived in its case and looked even cleaner now then when I purchased it. I knew they would find anything to void the warranty, customers do not have a leg to stand on in this store and I will be avoiding this store indefinitely and advising others to do so. I then went to the city centre store when they assessed the issue gave me a time to collect it and the customer services in the city centre story was impeccable however the Tesco arena store needs to be closed down. I also found out they sold me a second hand one for the same price as brand new on the steam deck site and mine was grade b . Please be very careful with this store eveyone
