We slept in the Venice room for one night. Cozy room for two. Vegan options available at breakfast, we asked for vegan sausage (got 1, expected a little more) tomato and baked beans. There was toast, coffee and plant based milks and yogurt.
The bar was open 24/7, and self on a thrust based system. Prices for drinks were lower since you're not paying for service.
There's ample parking (perfect to park a motorcycle) and a nice spacious garden with shade and small seating areas. Also a terras with tables.
The house of Agnes was the first stop on our trip into England. From the start, the service was very accommodating. It is a comfortable building with a lot of charm. The room we stayed in was very nice. A good bed, fan, and a good little shower (very important to me on vacations). Breakfast the next morning was great and checking out was easy and again, the service was pleasant.

Cost, comfy, Victorian. Excellent place to stay in Canterbury. Ask for the Venetian room.
Lovely place with plenty of character, excellent service and everyone was really lovely. Large well kept garden at the back

We stayed in the Tokyo room which had a very comfortable bed and serviceable bathroom. Some noise from street but not excessive and wasn't a problem. Breakfast was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. John was particularly welcoming and friendly.
The public areas are very good and we played board games in one of them with friends twice. The honesty bar is a very good facility although we had taken along our own drinks. There is a corkage charge for drinking your own drinks in public areas and unless you pay it you are not allowed to take wine glasses or ice even if you drink in your own room which seems a little unnecessary.
There is a beautiful large garden and an EV charger which is billed at a reasonable rate.
All round a very good stay in a historic building in a very convenient location close to the city centre and plenty of good restaurants.
