  Always buy from here, and today I bought a remarkable pad, but was told by the staff that it did not come with a pen, so went with their advice and paid another £72 on top. However, this got me thinking as the pad is pretty useless without a pen so I contacted remarkable and they said they never sell the device without the pen. Also , in the box I found spare pen tips. So seems I was done, but there you go, always research first or you will get caught like me. Thanks for your response, however as the remarkable pad is unusable without the pen, its inevitable that any buyer would need it, and indeed, adding the cost of the pen to the second hand price of the pad, puts it just a few pounds short of the new price. As advised, it’s a kin to buying a car with no wheels, only to be told they are extra. It pretty hard to understand why an item would be sold in an unusable state, particularity as its doubtful that a buyer would have a spare pen at home. Still, my fault for not checking first
