  We highly recommend Bob at 3 Counties Dog Training! Our four-month-old puppy, Otis, has certainly been keeping us on our toes with his strong will and challenging behaviour. Despite being long-time dog owners and having previously owned Dalmatians, we’d fallen into a few bad habits ourselves, which were starting to show in Otis’s behaviour. Bob was brilliant. He took the time to listen to our concerns, calmly explain where we were going wrong, and remind us of the fundamentals of training. When Otis became frustrated and started challenging me and my eldest son, Bob stepped in and showed us exactly how to handle the situation and address the behaviour. His calm, patient approach was fantastic, and the biggest difference has been seeing my son regain the confidence to train and play with Otis again. Bob is a genuinely lovely chap who clearly knows his stuff and makes you feel supported rather than judged. We’ve come away with a much better understanding of how to help Otis become the well-behaved dog we know he can be. If you’re struggling with your dog’s behaviour, or simply want some guidance to get things right from the start, I’d wholeheartedly recommend giving Bob a call.

  Had one session of dog training so far and it has massively improved our dogs behaviour, made us see our faults in the dog’s training and the trainer explained everything thoroughly enough so that we felt confident enough to continue it at home. Can’t wait for the next session 😊

  I have, recently, had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with Bob from Three Counties Dog Training. ​When I reached out via email to explain my current financial constraints and to end our sessions amicably, I received a passive-aggressive and patronizing response stating, among other things, that "A dog is for life, not just for Christmas," which he stated was relevant at any time of year. Having owned dogs my entire life, I found this comment highly condescending and unwarranted. ​Assuming a client lacks commitment to their dog—especially after having met them only once—is completely out of line. Rather than handling a simple business interaction with professional courtesy, his attitude was deeply insulting and dismissive. ​Beneath a polite exterior, his response revealed a complete lack of empathy and respect for clients behind the scenes. I would caution anyone looking for a dog trainer to consider how Bob treats people when difficulties arise.

  Bob has been fantastic with our dog Teddy. He gave us simple, practical advice that has made such a difference, and Teddy has come on so much already. Bob clearly knows his stuff and genuinely cares about the dogs he works with. We’d highly recommend him!
