  ⭐ 1/5 I had an extremely disappointing experience with PPS and ended up losing £3,000. I paid a £3,000 deposit on a business premises and then spent around a month over the Christmas period going through the process and providing the paperwork and information that was being requested of me. It felt like I was constantly being asked to jump through hoops, but I continued because I genuinely intended to take the premises. After all of that had finally been completed, the landlord decided that he no longer wanted alcohol to be sold from the premises. The property was then put up for sale through another agency. Despite the deal falling apart in circumstances outside of my control, I was left £3,000 out of pocket. What disappointed me most was the way PPS handled things afterwards. They held the money in their account and I was told that it would be split with the business owner, but I was never properly contacted or kept informed about what was happening with my money. PPS then offered to deduct the £3,000 I had lost from the price of another business that they would find for me. I accepted this as at least some attempt to resolve the situation, but I never heard back from them again. So after spending weeks complying with everything asked of me, the premises falling through because of the landlord’s decision, and losing £3,000 in the process, I was essentially left without a resolution. For me, it wasn’t just the loss of the money that was unacceptable — it was the lack of communication and support afterwards. When someone is putting thousands of pounds into a business opportunity, they deserve transparency, communication and proper support when something goes wrong. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering paying a deposit through PPS to make absolutely sure, in writing, what happens to their money if the transaction doesn’t complete and under exactly what circumstances the deposit is refundable.
