  My 13yr old has been out of school for 4 yrs and has demand avoidance. He just had a first session with Rob and we are delighted how engaged our son was and was observed by us parents later to be on the fantastic maths app Rob created ! he was working of his own accord ! The app shows he’s progressed after just the first session too. Genuinely thrilled and grateful to have found bowtie teacher , Thankyou !

  My daughter has made a huge improvement since she started lessons with Robert. She has really enjoyed learning with him. He has a great way of teaching that makes lessons interesting and enjoyable, and she never complains about having a lesson with him. In fact, he is the only tutor she has genuinely liked learning with. Robert is reliable, professional and I would definitely recommend him without hesitation!

  I missed a lot of school due to undiagnosed autism and as a result, received very little help with maths. I grew up believing I just wasn’t any good at it. Fast forward to age 37: my daughter is home educated, and another home-educating parent recommended Bow Tie Maths. I decided to work through the questions alongside my daughter to encourage her. The video tutorials are so easy to understand that even at my age, with very little confidence or foundation in maths, I’ve managed to get every question right so far—which honestly came as a huge surprise! I’ve always hated maths because I thought I simply couldn’t do it. It turns out that wasn’t true at all. Once you start getting those answers right and building a streak, it actually becomes fun to keep going! The website is easy to use, and being able to see what grade you’re currently working at, along with the areas that need more practice, is invaluable. The subscription is affordable, with no hidden costs or sneaky charges. There’s plenty of support when you need it, including clear explanations and a friendly, knowledgeable teacher who’s there to help if you get stuck. I’ve now signed up as a student myself—yes, as an adult! These lessons and tutorials have shown me something I never expected: I was never the problem. I simply hadn’t been taught in a way that made sense to me. So, if you or your child is struggling with maths, I genuinely can’t recommend Bow Tie Maths highly enough. Seeing those little green lights appear on questions you were convinced would turn red does wonders for your confidence. It makes you realise, “Hey… I can do this after all!”

  My daughter had to re take her maths GCSE and Rob- Bow Tie Teacher is the only reason she passed. He was brilliant, supportive and understanding helping her with the mistakes she made in her exam and gaps in her knowledge. He has an excellent way of breaking down the content and explaining it so she actually gets it. That support gave her the confidence to re take in November. I was so impressed with Rob when I contacted him. Before we began to tutor, he went through her and reviewed her exam papers from her school and recommended what we needed to do. If you need someone to tutor, you won’t find better.

  ROB has been incredibly helpful and patient with me, guiding me through much of the stuff he uses, especially on the technology side of things. I have used his APP with my own tutees and continue to use it, enjoying very good and welcome success. He is a good teacher and I will always recommend him without doubt.
