Pennywise cleaners did a fabulous job of cleaning my wedding gown! They had my dress for around 2 1/2 weeks, And it has now come back to me looking like brand-new. My dress had confetti in the lining, false tan patches under the arms and the train was black as it rained on the day, but these are now back to being white like the dress was when I purchased it. I took my own box for the dress and on return my dress had been packaged back into this beautifully and carefully with tissue paper to help keep the dress looking great over time. The girls in the shop were really helpful. The overall process of using Pennywise was super easy and I would recommend them for wedding dress cleaning!!

I took my wedding dress to be dry cleaned here after our abroad wedding, ready to be worn again for our UK reception.
Upon collecting my dress I was not informed of any issues during the cleaning process and was assured that everything had gone well.
However when I was trying my dress on the week before the reception, I noticed that the thread holding the pleats in place had come loose and a section of buttons were missing from the back of the dress.
Absolutely horrified by this realisation at such a close proximity to my reception I quickly made arrangements for the repairs to take place. I emailed Paul at Pennywise and he offered a very sincere apology and refunded the cleaning services. I was then told that he would investigate how this happened and that their wedding dress specialist would be in touch. I cannot fault Paul at all for his customer service.
However, when I received the call from the wedding dress specialist, I was met with nothing but excuses with the intention of trying to absolve themselves from blame. It was implied that I was merely being dramatic about my dress being ruined as it "only needed some buttons reattaching and a tac stitch putting back in".
The fact that my dress was not "completely ruined" was besides the point. The point was that my wedding dress (that I was due to wear again in less than a week) was not returned to me in a wearable condition. Had I have not checked in advance, I would not have been able to wear this dress as it was to my reception. The point is also that my wedding dress cost well over £1000 (which also made it more expensive to get cleaned in the first instance) therefore any damage at all is in fact a big deal.
It's also worth mentioning that I had no reason to check the dress in advance as at no point was it ever mentioned to us that there had been any issues during the cleaning process. I was very lucky that I had the forethought to check the dress in advance. What this evidently tells me is that either the dress was not checked prior to returning to me, or they were in fact trying to decieve a customer by not informing me of the damage that had occurred.
Had she just held her hands up and admitted that some mistake was made here, I would have been satisfied with the outcome of this ordeal.
I therefore advise that if you value honesty and candour in your services, I would get your wedding dress cleaned elsewhere.

Very unpleasant, unprofessional dry cleaner. Super rude workers.
A total waste of money, I do not recommend anyone ever coming near this dry cleaner!! Awful place!!
So helpful and kind
