  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very mixed experience at Apple Meadowhall. I had a confirmed 5:45pm appointment for an iPhone battery replacement and had travelled an 88-mile round trip to get there and back I arrived slightly early and was told that I should come back in 15 minutes to check in. I returned as instructed, checked in, and was then told they wouldn’t have time to do the repair as it had been a really busy day, and that I would need to come back another day. Understandably, I was extremely disappointed. Nice staff member just apologised and said there’s nothing she can do. I decided to walk away and let the situation digest rather than react in the moment. After thinking about it, I decided that I needed to speak to the manager and make a formal complaint about a confirmed appointment not being honoured. This is where Ben, the manager, really took control of the situation. He listened to everything that had happened and, rather than simply apologising, went away to see what he could do. He came back with a solution and arranged for another member of the repair team to start the repair at 7pm, with the aim of getting the phone completed before closing. James carried out the repair and was extremely helpful, explaining what had been done afterwards. The new battery was fitted and the phone was ready before the store closed. So, while the experience absolutely shouldn’t have started this way, Ben did a great job of taking ownership and turning a very disappointing situation around. James was also brilliant in getting the repair completed in.time. Hopefully Apple will look at the appointment process, as customers shouldn’t be travelling long distances for confirmed appointments only to be told to come back another day\. **Poor start, but excellent recovery from Ben and the team\. 👍**

  Disgusted and disappointed with Apple Trying to make me pay for a repair on my phone when it was the Apple charger that has burnt my charging port and melted the charger of a phone I’ve had for less then a month , will not be going to Apple Meadowhall again

  I visited the store as concerned after my Iphone overheated. It was under warranty. I was initially assisted by a service person who at first dismissed my concern as he said if the alarm did not signal then the phone had not overheated. I insisted that it had and he advised I could ask for a diagnostic which I said I would like. He advised next appointment 2 hours so I duly went back in 2 hours. Then I waited 20 mins before I was approached that someone would be there shortly - another 20 mins and then someone came apologising and carried out the diagnostic. She was very helpful. However I felt generally being ignored for such a time indicated to me all the personnel and there were many were only interested in selling products. I’m aged 79 so unfortunately I did feel discriminated against.

  I bought my daughter her very first Mac and came to this Apple Store to collect it. The first staff member scanned my QR code and asked me to wait. Another employee then brought the Mac out, quickly put it into a bag, and indicated that I could leave. I explained that I wanted to ask some questions about setting up the Mac for the first time. Her only response was to ask, “Do you have an iPhone?” I said yes, and she simply told me that the setup was basically exactly the same as on an iPhone. If this had been an ordinary shop, I would already have found the service disappointing. But this is an Apple Store. If I were to rate this particular staff member alone, I honestly would not even give her one star. She was, in my opinion, completely unhelpful and seemed to be the definition of unnecessary staff. Fortunately, we stayed and looked for someone else who could help us. A female staff member wearing glasses noticed us and proactively came over to help. She took us to an unoccupied table and patiently walked us through everything step by step. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for her name, but I would like to sincerely thank her for her excellent service and willingness to help. If I could rate this particular staff member on her own, I would give her 5 stars. So, taking both experiences into account, my overall rating would be 3 stars. 買了送給我女兒的人生第一部Mac Neo, 去呢間Apple取貨，第一個服務員scan咗我個QR code，示意我等一陣，然後有另一位員工將Mac機送上，然後迅速入袋示意我走，我表示我想詢問新開機嘅set up問題，佢只係問我你有冇iPhone ？我話有，佢就同我講其實同部iPhone一模一樣，如果呢間係一間普通店舖，我覺得都已經係麻麻哋，但係呢一間係Apple，如果我淨係俾呢個人分數嘅話一粒星都冇，呢個人係最佳冗員。如是者我哋唯有睇吓有冇邊一位員工可以幫到我哋，有一位戴眼鏡的女職員主動過來幫助我們，仲帶我哋去一張冇人嘅枱嗰度慢慢教我哋，我忘了她的姓名，但想在這裏衷心感謝。如果可以給這位女積員分數的話我給5粒星，所以而家平均分係三粒星。

  It was my first time visiting apple yesterday and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. FYI those reviewers who say that they’re sat alone not being attended to when making an appointment - you do actually have to go and speak to someone you know? They’re not mind readers… Anyway I went in for a battery replacement and it was super smooth and on time from start to finish. The first staff member I approached was lovely and he was eager to help me. He signed me in and told me where to wait. I wasn’t waiting long before someone approached me to start my appointment. They were really accommodating and friendly. A young woman served me (I can’t remember her name sadly) and she was lovely to me and even got another seat for my 3 year old niece. It took just an hour to do. I went for a browse around the shops and for a coffee and then it was done! Amazing communication throughout and I’d definitely visit again! Also it really does pay to have apple care. My battery replacement should have been nearly £100 and it was free for me. Thanks apple for a stress free experience! 🙏
