Quite simply the best tutor out there. Let him know your style (s), but be prepared to adapt and have great fun. I love Bert Jansch and Neil Young, but I’ve simply let Robert choose what we do. I have never regretted this — neither will you. Make sure that you have a will to learn and a great sense of humour. You’ll love it.

I started having lessons with Robert around a month ago and always really look forward to them. Robert is very patient and has taken the time to learn what music I like and what 'makes me tick'! He is a great teacher and his passion shines through in every session!

I've been having guitar lessons with Robert for years and I can honestly say I never learn as quickly and to a higher standard as I do when I'm trying to self teaching. His knowledge of musical theory, practical experience and personalised teaching is unlike anything I've seen in anyone I know. I know that he has many people that are willing to travel considerably far to be taught by him and that he will always give honest feedback on your playing. He teaches people of any age and will always tailor his lessons to you, to make sure you get the most out of them. So if you're a complete novice like I was when I started or someone who is getting back into a lost passion he really is the tutor for you!
