  I strongly advise against using Jeremy Fisher (M.I.C.E.) of Fisher Consulting Engineers. My experience with him regarding a project in Bootle has been a catalog of professional failures. First, he demonstrated a complete lack of diligence by ignoring technical evidence and treating a non-structural partition as load-bearing, leading to redundant and costly recommendations. Second, his communication is non-existent; he has been unreachable for months, ignoring urgent emails regarding a Building Control enforcement deadline on 9 January. This total lack of responsiveness has put my project in legal jeopardy. To make matters worse, I was hit with an arbitrary fee increase of nearly 300% without any prior written notice or revised agreement. I have been forced to escalate this to the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Professional Conduct Panel and the Engineering Council. Save yourself the stress and find an engineer who respects professional standards and legal deadlines.

  Jeremy was fantastic from start to finish. I had two recommendations from local builders for Jeremy which was really reassuring. I asked him to assess a property that I was looking at buying for structural issues and to inform me on options for redevelopment. Jeremy responded to my emails really quickly, did some preliminary research, came to a viewing and then provided me sound advice all within a week, which meant I actually withdrew from the purchase. As Jeremy hadn’t spent too long on the case and the visit itself was short, he was then also reticent about charging me, which I insisted upon as obviously he had spent time helping me in background work. Just highlighted what an upstanding gent he is and a real old-school professional; would absolutely recommend and have done already. Thank you Jeremy.

  Got introduced to Jeremy by my architect and waited weeks for my calculations which didn't arrive but after many requests and lame excuses I decided to go elsewhere, wouldn't recommend I'm afraid
