  We used BHI for a simple loft conversion which started June 2025. This job should have taken 5 to 6 weeks to complete, but ended up taking 40+ weeks. There were quite a few issues along the way. The main one being the incorrect roof structure being fitted. Due to no ventilation being included, our ceiling became very mouldy quite quickly, which became apparent after we had decorated and moved our children up there. Our son with asthma became noticeably wheezy and had frequent asthma flare ups, but BHI/Sean felt it wouldnt have impacted his health... but based on a private damp and mould specialist (that we had to pay for) they confirmed it would certainly make someone poorly especially if they are asthmatic. We then had to move our children out until the issue was resolved. Unfortunately due to the amount of damp and mould, the ceiling had to come down and a whole new roof type was fitted. We were then left to decorate again, move the furniture, belongings and children back up there, whilst figuring life out with our newborn son. In the making good of it all, areas were damaged by builders, including our brand new waredrobe, driveway, scuffed walls/ceilings and windowsill etc. As there was a number of errors, we had to decorate twice on the bottom landing, 3 times on the top landing and twice in the bedroom. All of which we had to fund and deal with. Between BHI (Sean) and London Building Control, both were pointing the finger at each other... someone was clearly forgetting that it was our home in the middle of all of this. Each report that was produced by the building inspectors highlighted areas of concern.... but no one (BHI) seemed to take any accountability. Not even a simple apology for the upset, stress and inconvenience. We were constantly chasing up next actions and a plan to fix the issues. Overall.... as im sure you can tell... it was not a good experience. At the start, Sean was ok... but when he was in the wrong, clearly that bothered him deeply and a change in his approach was obvious. Jodie in the office...was always lovely, and most of the builders that attended the property were also nice. Just a shame it went so wrong. I wouldn't use Sean/BHI again. Just a handful of the many pictures we have. 🙄

  Amazing from start to finish! Clean, thorough, polite, courteous, professional and showed great attention to detail. Everyone i came in contact with were genuinely lovely people and the pride in workmanship was evident. I can’t recommend them enough - I will definitely use them again

  We used BHI services last year for our rear extension, they were very good. Built well, very clean, all on time and went through each aspect with us :) would recommend and definitely use again
