  We worked with Brian McKinlay at James McEwan & Son in the planning of my mother's funeral over May and June 2026, and the service we received was exceptional. From start to finish, Brian was sensitive, helpful, supportive and tactful and every step of the process felt organised, planned and prepared. Communication was frequent and detailed from start to finish, and the delivery of the service itself was just perfect. I honestly can't recommend them enough.

  First class service at a very difficult time for my family and I after my wife died on 24th August. Jed took care of everything in a very proffessional but caring way removing all the stress of arranging the funeral. Everything we would have wished for was organised perfectly so sincere thanks to allat James MacEwan

  Respectful, professional service... I would highly recommend McEwans they take care of everything through such a heartbreaking time. They made it so much easier for us as a family... losing someone you love dearly is hard enough thank you to all the team for enabling me to give the perfect send off.
