  Great tour to learn more about the dark & spooky side of such a beautiful city, lots of stories filled with history and ghost stories! Tour guide was great, very interactive, passionate and personable. Would recommend putting on your York itinerary!

  Myself andy family loved doing this tour it was very informative but in a comical way, the host was very knowledgeable, my daughter especially loved being called up as a volunteer for one of the stories which made her day! Definitely recommended if you want something for all the family to do, there is alot of walking though so wear some comfortable shoes! Its about 2 hours

  If you’re ever in York this is a must. The original ghost walk lived up to its reputation and delivered a mix of captivating storey telling, eerie history & genuine folklore. We joined on a foggy October night, the spooky mist creeping through the streets created the absolute perfect back drop for a ghost tour. Our guide was amazing- possessing a remarkable stage presence, clear voice & a keen sense of humour that gripped the group from start to finish. Excellent value for money & an incredible way to immerse yourself in Yorks rich history after dark- highly recommend!

  This was a fantastic tour and genuinely one of the best I’ve ever been on! The tour guide was brilliant—engaging, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the stories and history. What I really appreciated was that alongside the collection of ghost stories, the guide also went into the history of the locations and the genuinely dark and disturbing events that happened there. For me, that’s what makes a great ghost tour—the combination of real history, atmosphere, and the paranormal. As someone who is genuinely fascinated by the paranormal, I really enjoyed the authentic approach and the fact that the tour didn’t rely on gimmicks as many do these days. It felt like a great balance of haunting stories and the real history of York. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone (believer or not!), and I’d definitely love to come back again. Thank you!

  Terrible terrible terrible all I can say, worst ghost tour ever wasted 20 pounds. It was agonizing watching a terrible narrator who basically just gave us history lesson, Whitby ghost tour put this to shame. Don't do it! I 100% agree with Ed's review just before mine. Whitby ghost tour was true ghost tour!
