  Just want to say a huge thank you for your excellent support this week when catering for a funeral tea. Your team were amazing and took all of the stress away from me in the lead up to the day - and on the day you were quick and efficient, set up on your own initiative. It all looked fabulous, and the food was delicious. Excellent touches like helping to pack up afterwards and putting out take away boxes for the attendees helped everything go without a hitch. Can't recommend you enough.

  The team at Poppy Caterers produced a first rate lunch for 35 at very short notice for an event at a farm near York last week. The ingredients were all of a high standard, the presentation great and the food tasted exceptional. My vegan colleagues said that they had never been so well catered for. Delivery was dead on time! Overall a great service - I can't recommend Poppy Caterers highly enough.

  We had our wedding at the Merchant Taylors' Hall in York in early November 2018, and Poppy Caterers were the catering and event team for our big day. From start to finish, they were excellent. Val and her team provided invaluable help throughout the planning, and were always quick to provide helpful advice and information. Val also really went out of her way to help us at times, such as giving us a run through for our young nieces, and helping to make the hall look amazing on the morning of the wedding. The day itself was perfect - everything ran smoothly, and the staff were very accommodating and attentive. Katie and the team made sure everything went really well. And Simon's food was genuinely great - it looked and tasted fantastic. Our meal requests were all met, including making dishes exactly to our tastes, and we had a lot of compliments from our guests about the quality of the food. So we had a truly great day, and we couldn't have done it all without Poppy!
