  Beautiful country pub. Great food and especially as they made such an effort for me having coeliac disease. Very enjoyable lunch set in gorgeous surroundings. Thank you. We will be back soon.

  If you are looking for a quintessential English village pub, this is it. Traditional and pretty inside and out, The Royal Oak is a delight. Food is delicious, service very good, and ambience perfect. Nestled in a lovely North Yorkshire village, a visit here is a real treat.

  What an amazing country pub! We had been shooting locally and booked a table for 9. We arrived an hour early, but greeted with a friendly smile, we settled into the garden with our drinks. Nothing was too much for John and his team. The service was friendly, professional and made for a really enjoyable visit. Now the food...what can we say other than it was exceptional. Most had the pie which came with a nice thick crust and plenty of meat. Lovely cooked, fresh vegetables accompanied the food. We had to try the desserts which didn't let us down! We visited on a Saturday and it was 2 courses for £20, which was tremendous value. Highly recommend this great country pub!

  Lovely atmosphere in this old inn Food was very good, plenty of it I had the most amazing g chicken . The 3 who had the break pie were so dull after quite a large serving reasonably priced and desserts were so yummy !! Will definitely recommend Lovely friendly staff very attentive . We were a group of 9 from a lunch club.
