  Its our first time in Royal oak, the food was fantastic, you can tell that the food was freshly cook, and the portion was massive. I rate the the food and experience 9.5, my wife 10/10, and my daughter 8.5, the staff we're very welcoming and accomodating. Definitely coming back.

  Fabulous pub in a lovely village. Staveley Nature Reserve is accessible from the car park, with great walks around and beyond to Knaresborough and Boroughbridge. Very friendly, welcoming family owned pub. Efficient staff, lovely food and beverages. Dog friendly and a super area at the back for camping and motorhome stopovers. Would highly recommend!

  Stopped off here on the way back from golf had a meal and drinks food was excellent a very good price 2 courses for £20 beer was good and the staff couldn't do enough for you

  What a gem great food great service with atmosphere to spare I can recommend this pub 100% Simple menu with brilliant food the best ive ever had in yorkshire Only down side is its easy to drive past it's set back and it's easy to miss even following the satnav

  A lovely pub in a nice setting that we stumbled upon as we visited Staveley Nature reserve. It had a nice atmosphere and was welcoming of our dog, providing treats and a water bowl. We had the roast dinner which was delicious and had good proportions . Overall a good decision to stray into there for our meal.
