Suspicious?
RED FLAGS
1. The company name they are trading under was dissolved in
2022.
2. Nowhere, in their website or marketing material can I find their
trading address.
3. Abusive WhatsApp messages, once they had been found out.
After making an online enquiry on a Facebook funnel advert, this company sent me a short text. I responded but the mobile phone wasn't answered. Later a chap called me back.
We discussed the work. He gave me a price and offered a 10 year "company" warranty and willing to start as soon as I wanted.
This company goes by the name of First Choice Property Services Ltd. Not to be confused with 1st Choice
So, I to assess the confidence of the warranty, checked this out on Companies House
That company was incorporated in 2020 and DISSOLVED in 2022.
When I asked the person that called me to confirm the name trading company name or its company number - he referred me to the glossy web page and suggested I call the "office". I did call several times to be greeted by a voice message. The calls were never answered.
I messaged the chap back - as he doesn't answer his phone either - I explained that nobody is answering and that I called just before 4pm. He responded and suggested calling between 9am and 3pm. He also told me that overnight they were suddenly fully booked for the next 13 months! I called at 11am but again just a voice message advising that all calls are recorded but no answer
Make of that what you will - I would definitely AVOID!

FOLLOW-UP
Within a matter of minutes of posting this review, I received a return call from an unnamed chap. At first, he wasn't aware of who I was. Once I told him that I wanted to find out what his company name was he repeated the name First Choice property Services Ltd. I advised him that it is dissolved at which point he became extremely angry, abusive, and shouting profanities at me about the review that had been left. He insisted that the company has 3 decades of family ownership, (it has only four other reviews, not many for a so-called long-established company). I tried to tell that him I was quite happy to remove the review if I could find his company and I was in error. I asked for the company number, but he refused to provide the company number that I could check and hung up.
Shortly after I received a very abusive WhatsApp message, that I luckily took a screen shot of - as it they deleted shortly after.
100% cowboy company.
If this trader attempts to have Google remove this review, which is a habit of such scammers, all that is required is to check on Companies House website - just type in FIRST CHOICE PROPERTY SERVICES LTD - you will see the government website for this company and on quick examination of the overview -you will see that it is dissolved.
It is generally illegal to trade under the name of a dissolved company. Once a company is struck off the register, it legally ceases to exist. Operating under its name is unlawful and can lead to unlimited fines, director disqualification, and personal liability for debts.
