I guess this is more of a Tesco on-line issue than the local store but seeing as I placed an order for in-store collection they get dragged into it.
I ordered and paid on-line for a pack of girls vests for in-store collection next day. Two days later I thought I should ring to see if they had arrived. What a palava. Had to ring an 0845 call centre number and listen to menus that didn't seem to cover my enquiry. After two goes I got through to someone who could help but could not verify that the goods had arrived in-store. He said he would have to ring the store and then get back to me. 15 mins later he returned the call only to say that he couldn't get through to my local store and he would ring me later. About two hours later he rang to say they were not in stock and my money would be refunded.
Why couldn't Tesco have contacted me to let me know sooner and why not a local store number on their web site?
If this is ordering from Tesco on-line then I'm afraid I have placed my last order with Tesco.
