Went yesterday to CEX to sell an iphone 13, everything worked, had no issues whatsoever, they give us a price of 120 for the phone, told us too come back after 45 mins of testing and they claim they couldn't test it and couldn't connect the phone to their system? We've never had any issues connecting the phone to our PC or owt b4 so this to us sounded strange. They told us they tried to clean out the charger and still nothings worked. They gave us a price of 60 in the end be azo the phone "didn't work for them". Which we oviously declined bc we knew the phone was worth more. Fast forward to today, we've managed to sell the phone and went to do our own checks. The phone now doesn't charge.... never ever have we had this issue before. And to say they told us they cleaned it out, it really doesn't not look clean. We honestly believe that either our phones been switched for one of their tattier ones or they've broke it themselves. They also took our receipt off of us so now trying to file a complaint isn't possible because we have no proof of being in the store yesterday. We are beyond furious because now we are unable to sell this phone to our buyer and now have to let them down which isn't fair to them for a MASSIVE mistake made on CEX behalf.

cex mansfield is the worse place to go special if you are disabled the female staff members are the best and will do anything for you but the male staff including the male manager are the worse at the job they will make all effect to discriminate against disabilities if you are disabled like myself i would recommend to stay as far away as possible

After learning I had left an important connector for my item in the shop, I messaged the team via Messenger and they replied almost instantly. They found the item and I was very pleased with the service and willingness to help.

Brought a keyboard for a really good price - 90 pounds for one that's usually 109, I assumed something might be wrong with it for being that cheap. However, the person on till was on their phone for a good 10 minutes before even acknowledging me, which was disappointing Keyboard was cute, sounded nice and I wasn't told of any problems, I assumed it had been tested and worked fine and I just got lucky Went home, tried it, some keys were completely unresponsive and the connection to the actual key (the bronze bits? I forgot the name.) was completely bent and disconnected, and a few keys required spamming to actually process. It was lovely and it wasn't the worst experience ever, but I do wish items would be checked and people would be warned if there were issues.
