Ned, I’m sure it has been said,
that you were very helpful indeed.
Instead of the usual customer service
one experiences in shops up and down our land,
Ned was helpful.
Ned was patient.
Ned was grand.
But let it be known:
if there were a throne
for exceptional helpfulness during a shopping experience,
Ned, you would sit upon it proudly.
Soundly.
Profoundly.
And surrounded by a roundly positive experience.
A credit to CeX.
A credit to customer service.
Possibly a credit to mankind.
Thanks, Ned.
Enough said.

I went into CeX Leyton expecting a fairly straightforward visit and ended up getting some of the best customer service I’ve had in ages.
Ned was an absolute star — patient, knowledgeable, genuinely funny and ridiculously helpful. I had plenty of questions and he took the time to talk me through everything properly, without ever making me feel rushed or like I was being a pain. He clearly knows his stuff, but just as importantly, he knows how to speak to people.
What really stood out was that it didn’t feel like scripted “customer service”. Ned was warm, honest and genuinely seemed to care that I walked away happy with the outcome. We had a laugh along the way too, which turned what could have been a pretty mundane transaction into a genuinely enjoyable visit.
The rest of the team were great as well — friendly, welcoming and clearly working together. The whole branch had a really positive atmosphere.
Ned is a huge credit to CeX and exactly the sort of person who makes you choose one branch over another. I’ll absolutely be going back to Leyton.
Give the man a bonus. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just terrible. This branch is a complete joke and constantly invents fake corporate rules to avoid doing basic trade-ins. I have tried bringing several items here, and every single time the staff make up a lazy excuse to reject them:
1. I brought my BenQ BL2420PT monitor to trade in and they intially said it had to be grade C because of a scuff on the stand. I said OK, whatever and they said that there was no grade C for this item so it had to be requested from the pricing team. I left the monitor with them and when I got back, they said that the pricing team wouldn't buy it as PT because they falsely claimed it was a different item and offered a laughable £8 "generic monitor" voucher.
It even says BenQ BL240PT on the retail box!
For clarity: BenQ uses "TF" as an internal manufacturing/logistical batch code for specific corporate distribution channels. Underneath the sticker, it is the EXACT same high-end 2K QHD IPS designer monitor with the identical premium ergonomic stand as the "PT" version.
Refusing to buy a high-quality 1440p monitor as anything other than a "generic scrap screen" because of a single distribution letter on a label shows a complete lack of product knowledge. Don't bother bringing tech here if it isn't from a standard UK high-street retail box; they don't know how to evaluate it.
2. They tried to claim my BenQ 24-inch 1080p 144Hz gaming monitor had "pressure marks" on the screen. The display is completely flawless. "Pressure marks" is clearly just a convenient corporate excuse used by staff to artificially reject high-value stock when they don't want to process a payout.A complete lack of basic product knowledge and highly subjective testing parameters.
Both of these happened on the same day.
3. Mobile Phone: Rejected for screen burn. When I rightfully pointed out that CeX corporate guidelines state screen burn is explicitly acceptable for Grade C stock, the staff walked into the back room, realized they were wrong, and just said "we don't want to buy it anyway."
4. Games: Was told a completely fabricated rule that customers can "only sell one game a day," despite the games being completely different titles.
The staff and management here are lazy, untrained, and actively hostile toward customers trying to use the shop for its intended purpose. Avoid this specific branch entirely. Take your tech to a store that actually follows company policy and understands basic electronics.
