  After two years trapped in a party wall dispute with our neighbour, I can say without hesitation that Coburn is the reason we came out the other side with our case intact. Our neighbour's surveyor drew up party wall agreements that were legally wrong — and remarkably, our own surveyor and others in the process let it go unchallenged. The result was a build delayed by over 18 months, and more than £40,000 in legal costs plus over £20,000 in surveying fees, fighting notices that should never have been issued in the first place. Coburn wasn't even our appointed surveyor, but he stayed with us throughout, guided us through what felt like a legal minefield, and explained to our lawyer exactly where the process had gone wrong. Thanks to his knowledge and persistence, we overturned four party wall notices that our own surveyor — and also 2 others surveyors had written off as unwinnable. The party wall world has more than its fair share of people who manipulate the legislation for their own gain. Coburn is the exception: genuinely knowledgeable, meticulous, and willing to fight for what's right even when it wasn't technically his job to. I couldn't recommend him more highly to anyone facing a party wall dispute.

  Recently had the displeasure of working with these surveyors. Booked them in for a site visit and they didn't even show up to inspect the building site/party wall, called up to find out what was happening and they said it "wasn't needed" and they were "too busy" which led to me refusing to carry on working with them as they've not carried out the essential part of the agreement. They tried to threaten me into signing by telling me they'll reach out to my neighbour, I stood my ground so they did. Highly unprofessional behaviour overall, would advise you seek help elsewhere.
