  I have recently just got a position via hummingbird and cannot thank them enough for helping me along the way. Accepting a new position can be scary and worrying but both Lou and Kerry were very responsive and quick with communication and reassurance. Thank you so much guys.

  My experience with Hummingbird Homestaff has been exceptional from start to finish. I felt nothing but supported and genuinely understood by both Kerry and Louise when looking for a placement that aligned with my lifestyle, availability and skillset. You can tell they actually care about correctly matching both candidates and clients, not just for the best professional fit, but also factoring in personality and energy between the two. I’ve had previous experiences with recruitment companies who simply ‘place and go’ with no further support once they’ve found you a position, however that was definitely not the case here. Kerry and Louis were always on hand, with quick, reassuring communication, fantastic attention to detail and an honest guide for navigating every aspect of the journey.They have found a wonderful balance between efficiency and professionalism, all while being incredibly approachable, with a real human touch and passion for the work they do- which is rare to come across these days. I couldn’t recommend them enough for both candidates or clients, who are looking for opportunities or support that match their specific lifestyle. Thank you so much for such a stress free, positive and overall lovely experience.

  I honestly couldn’t recommend Hummingbird Homestaff Ltd highly enough. I’ve known Kerry for a very long time, and she has always taken the time to really understand me, my experience and the type of family and working environment that suits me. Kerry recently placed me with a wonderful family, and I genuinely couldn’t be happier. I absolutely love the family I’m working with and, most importantly, I feel valued, appreciated and respected for what I do. After what has been a difficult period for me, finding myself in a placement where I feel happy, settled, supported and genuinely appreciated has made such a positive difference to my wellbeing and mental health. It really has been exactly what I needed. For me, a great agency is about more than simply finding someone a job — it’s about understanding the person and finding the right match, and Kerry has done that perfectly.   Started off well with all the communication, got told that I was first choice with a family and they offered me the job, went for, what was supposed to be a paid trial day as a nanny, to which i never got paid, was told they then wanted to think about it despite positive feedback and the initial job offer, and Kerry would get back to me. Unfortunately that was when the communication ended. I then followed up and was told she forgot to check up on the family.....haven't heard from her since, even reached out to the family and got no response. Not particularly professional ignoring your clients when they are no use to you anymore.

  Very disappointing is an understatement, and one star feels like too many!!! The agency was tasked with providing a nanny/housekeeper and despite all the initial assurances, candidates were few and far between. We were strongly advised by Kerry to take on a candidate who subsequently turned out to have very low capability, damaged our property and no-showed several times during the short period that we let her work before letting her go. Clearly the background checks and quality assurance aren’t very thorough. Whilst fees are taken very quickly (into the thousands) for the ‘services’ provided, the replacement promise is not worth the paper it’s written on. Once Hummingbird have your money they are obviously not incentivised and therefore have no willingness to do anything else to help you. Next to zero candidates for months… sparse to non existent contact from Kerry and no willingness to refund at least a part of our substantial fee to enable us to look elsewhere… This is the type of service that runs absolutely at odds to their mission statement on the website. It would be more palatable if the agency was willing to admit where they are not able to fulfil their contractual obligations and rectify it, rather than just disappear off into the distance with your money. A good agency would engage with the client to make this right…
