  Dirty locker rooms, very rude front desk staff. Bought a guest pass, steam room wasn’t working. Was promised another guest pass, on my return front desk lady decided to take the opportunity to embarrass me in front of multiple guests. Will be making a formal complaint to the owner Mr. H.

  I have been a member of this gym for a number of years but have unfortunately felt the need to leave for a number of reasons: - jacuzzi has never been open - unclean showers in ladies changing area - layer of dust on windowsill - general uncleanliness of changing areas - nearly always have some broken equipment which seems to takes months to fix - started children’s swimming lessons taking up space in a small pool, and often making lots of noise so less relaxing - when I joined I was informed more evening classes would be added but these are limited and book up very quickly

  In addition to the gym classes, it offers French, Spanish, and German conversation and a book club. The gym has become an important part of my social life.

  I have been a member of several gyms over the past 20 years, including health & racquet clubs, council-run, large chains, and independents. This is by far the most welcoming and friendly gym I have ever had the pleasure of belonging to, both in terms of the staff and the other members. If you want a gym which has a real sense of community, and welcomes all ages, sizes, and experience levels, look no further. Cannot recommend enough.

  I’ve really tried to like this gym, but I’ve found myself becoming increasingly frustrated with the experience. Much of the gym feels outdated and worn. While it’s manageable for freestyle workouts, the weighted machines are often difficult to use due to age, with some showing signs of rust or poor maintenance. The cardio area also needs attention—there are usually two or three treadmills out of order, and several others are noticeably old and quite loud. The staff experience is inconsistent. Some team members are friendly and helpful, but others can come across as unapproachable and rude which impacts the overall atmosphere. Cleanliness is another issue. Certain areas, including the pool and toilets, don’t always feel as well-maintained. Overall, it doesn’t feel like a premium gym despite the price.
