  Assisted in the polishing of a Longines watch. Despite some initial confusion over the nature and extent of the polishing requested, Russel was able to provide the service requested promptly and at a reasonable price. Much appreciated.

  In April 2021, after 40 years of faultless performance, my Rolex Lady Datejust finally needed some TLC. As there were no authorised Rolex dealers in my local area, I entrusted it to Russell Talerman after being told over the phone that Rolex dealers sent watches to them for servicing and repairs. Foolishly, I took them at their word and didn't investigate further. Following the service, the watch began losing time during the following year—something it had never done in the previous four decades. I had to make a four-hour round trip to London to return it. After much quibbling, they eventually agreed to repair it, but it has never worked properly since. This month, condensation appeared under the crystal, so I took the watch to an authorised Rolex dealer. After inspecting it, they told me that Russell Talerman is not authorised by Rolex to service or repair Rolex watches. I am now having to pay a substantial amount to have the watch properly serviced and repaired for a second time. Buyer beware. Their prices are no cheaper than those of an authorised Rolex service centre, and they didn't even provide a service guarantee. Based on my experience, I would never use them again.

  I didn’t have a great experience here, the prices were not competitive with other places, even in Hatton Garden. They wanted to charge the same price for a vintage ETA Tudor from the 1970’s as for a Rolex! Maybe they’re more focused on high end pieces so unless you want the Mayfair location and you don’t care about price, I would avoid. Two stars to be fair cos the quality of the work may be great - can’t comment on that.
