Absolutely not as before their customers respect and allowed to buy their items. Two times they've turned me down which is no issue with my mobile phone and laptop to wish to sell. I'm absolutely upset. And never stepped in again same store which is in Whitechapel.

I came here yesterday to sell my PS5 and everything that came with it, I bought my PS5 last year and I barely even touched it, an hour before I arrived to CEX, I tested out my PS5 in my own home to factory reset it and to ensure that it was working fine and everything was perfect. I bought it to CEX around 4pm just before their closing time, please tell me why as soon as I come back after they’ve finished testing it for 30 minutes, the girl behind the counter is now telling me “the HDMI port is damaged and we can’t take this in” which is a complete lie and it isn’t the first lie they have told either when it comes to buying goods from their customers especially when the product is in good working condition. So guess what? I sold my PS5 today at Cash Converters and they tested in front of me too and I got offered £180 upfront, whilst you guys offered £160 for my digital unboxed PS5 and yet refused to take it in because “ALLEGEDLY” the HDMI port was corrupt. Cash Converters just proved you guys are crooks and I hope they continue to steal your customers. This is not a good look on your brand. Don’t bother selling your goods here, they will lie in your face.

I am raising a serious safety concern, although the situation would be funny if it were not so dangerous.
I brought in a phone with a visibly swollen battery. Swollen lithium-ion batteries are a known fire risk. Instead of treating it as hazardous, the staff member was squeezing the device in her hands while explaining that only iPhones explode. That is factually wrong. Any lithium-ion battery can ignite if damaged or inflated. Watching someone compress a potential explosive while dismissing the risk was surreal. The phone could have ignited in her hands.
I was then blamed for the cracked screen and missing piece. Swollen batteries expand internally and push against the display. That is basic physics, not user damage.
I hold a five-year warranty. Rather than addressing a legitimate safety issue, I was sent home with a potentially dangerous device.
This requires immediate review and proper staff training before someone gets injured.
I primary have a good judge of character. I don't usually send reviews, but unfortunately I have to put this staff member on blast. Had a bad feeling, I should waited for the other staff member tbh.
Was dealt with a Pakistani/Indian Staff member he rejected numerous of discs, due to scratches, fair enough, but then had the audacity to nick one of my discs (Tekken Tag 2 on Xbox 360)
Can't be asked to travel back and cause a scene, but just to put you on blast. I feel I have dealt with you before and its always a bad negative energy, mate Customer service is ideally not the sector for you.
Manager, please check the Cameras date: 23/02. Time approx 10:32. I was wearing a black wooly hat, with black headphones, grey puffer jacket. Thanks.
