  I have had the pleasure of working with Jenny Fleming principal at Carter Fleming over the past ten years. Her approach to architecture is both creative and pragmatic . She is a great communicator and team player and is highly effective in dealing with contractors and challenging planning and historic building officers. She has the skill and flexibility to work with both new and listed building clients with admirable commitment and I would highly recommend her for any small to medium size architectural project. The projects we have worked on with Jenny are a testament to her ability to design with a combination of elegance and efficiency where beauty and utility can coexist. The terrace of four brick clad houses on the listed Beltwood Estate in South London are exceptional and worth visiting to experience at first hand the excellence of her design skills in relating her architecture spatially to the external environment whilst creating an exquisite internal arrangement of living accomodation. She also designed the alterations to the adjacent listed residence which were met with strong approval from a very difficult planning committee Tim Macfarlane Consulting Engineer

  We have collaborated with Jenny on numerous projects over the past decade and have consistently been impressed by her skill and talent. From an engineering perspective, her briefs are always thoughtfully developed, with clear spatial coordination and a carefully considered material palette that come together as a cohesive and comprehensive design vision. Her work demonstrates a deep understanding of how to realise both the potential and the poetics of space. Jenny combines extensive knowledge and experience with the ability to guide clients confidently through the complexities of the UK regulatory framework and budget and programmatic considerations. Equally important is her personable approach, care, and dedication, which make the design and construction process both meaningful and enjoyable for everyone involved.

  We had a fabulous experience with Jenny. We needed help maximising the space for a new kitchen and working out the intricacies of planning permission. Jenny was supportive, very responsive, and made us feel part of the design process. Her advice and architectural plans gave us confidence to deal with building contractors and kitchen fitters. She also went the extra mile helping us speed along the bureaucracy everyone faces with home renovations. We are extremely happy with the end result, Jenny helped us make our home beautiful.

  I've had the pleasure of working with Jenny Fleming for many years across several projects (Beltwood House, Terrace Trio, Hackney Road, The Pavilion House and the Gatehouse), and she remains one of the most detail-oriented and passionate architects I've worked with. From individual homes to larger residential schemes, she approaches every project with the same enthusiasm and care, leaving no detail unresolved. Her eye for materials, quality and finish is exceptional, and she has a real talent for creating buildings that are beautifully designed both on the inside as well as the outside and practical to live in.
