  We recently hosted a CPD seminar for our swimming instructors ran by Dave Perry. The session he provide was fun, engaging, highly organised and very insightful. Dave as a tutor is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We are very much looking forward to working with him again in the future!

  I’ve just completed my STA Certificate course with Paul Finch as tutor at Saint Joseph’s College, and I’ve learned so much throughout the experience. Paul is truly passionate about teaching and has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. He is kind, compassionate, and incredibly understanding. He even provided light refreshments at his own expense to ensure we were comfortable, which really reflects his thoughtful nature. I am very grateful to have had him as my tutor. The only constructive feedback I would offer — and this is purely a personal preference, not a reflection of Paul’s teaching skills — is that I would have found it even more beneficial to have fewer written assignments and less paperwork, with more opportunities to learn through observing practical drills carried out by experienced professionals. There is so much to gain from watching fellow and more seasoned teachers in action. I would have also appreciated more time to fully engage with and delve deeper into the lectures, rather than focusing so heavily on written tasks. That said, I do understand that assignments are an important part of revision and the learning process. Overall, it was an intense and empowering experience, and I am so glad I took part. Thank you — highly recommended!
