Went to the Apple Store Regent Street this morning to buy a MacBook Air, sadly they did not have the colour midnight blue that I wanted.
Plenty of helpful staff, other retailers could learn a lot from the Apple experience. Store was immaculate as usual, again other retailers take note.
All sales assistants were polite, and great at interacting with me. 5 stars 🌟
They offered to order it for me for delivery in August 4th to 11th
The assistant told me that there were NONE in the country. That was not true, Apple might not have any, but the assistant could easily have said try John Lewis or another retailer.
Just 150 meters away was John Lewis on Oxford Street. I went there to enquire about this MacBook.
They had a Macbook Air in midnight blue, and with a 2 year guarantee for the same price, so I made my purchase there.
Most shops try to help it's customers buy recommending other retailers when they don't have stock.
NOT Apple they NEVER recommend other retailers. It's all about customer service and keeping the customer happy.
If they don't have stock, direct the customer to other nearby retailers who might. It's all about helping the customer.
Some years ago I was in the same Apple store to buy a new iPhone.
I knew that there was a brand new iPhone model being released the very next day, but when I enquired about it, the sales assistant denighed any knowledge of it, if I had bought the current model of iPhone and then finding out a new model was going to be released the next day, I would have been furious.
Come on Apple stop thinking about your massive and a little obscene profits and try to help customers when advertised new models are on the way, just admit that they are on the way and stop denighing new models days or hours before there release, especially when everyone knows they are coming.
I like Apple 🍎 products, but prices are kept artificially high as my MacBook Air is manufactured in China 🇨🇳 and we all know this is one of the cheapest places in the world to manufacture electronics therefore keeping prices overly high and profits higher. Your pricing structure needs looking at...
I recommend the Apple Store, but don't rely on total honesty about new models, and customer service.

Terrible customer service.
We came to have a screen protector replaced on our phone. Right after the replacement, before we even left the store, we noticed there were air bubbles trapped under the screen protector. We immediately wanted to have the issue fixed, but we couldn’t find the employee who had installed it. We were told that he had gone on his lunch break.
We then approached another employee, a woman with curly hair, and politely asked for help. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, she spoke to us aggressively from the very beginning. She repeatedly told us to find the employee who had installed the screen protector, even though he was no longer in the store. She raised her voice, spoke in a rude and irritated manner, and her facial expressions made it seem like we were asking for something unreasonable.
All we wanted was for them to correct a poor-quality installation. This kind of attitude toward customers is completely unacceptable. Customer service staff should be willing to help solve problems, not respond with aggression or shift responsibility onto customers.
This incident happened on July 7 at approximately 1:40 PM. I strongly do not recommend this store.

Terrible customer service, especially from the curly-haired girl on the ground floor.
A staff member replaced my screen protector, but before I even left the store I noticed there was a small speck of dust trapped underneath it. When I turned around, he was already gone. I waited around 15 minutes for him to come back, but he never did.
I then approached the curly-haired girl for help. The first thing she asked was whether I had a receipt. I didn’t, because I had already told the guy who installed the screen protector that I didn’t need one. She immediately replied in a rude tone that it was “my problem.”
A few moments later, the same employee came out already changed into his own clothes. I pointed him out and said, “That’s him.” She simply replied that he was on his lunch break and repeated that it was my problem because I didn’t have a receipt.
She was unbelievably rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Someone with that attitude should not be working in customer service.
I usually never leave reviews but this man was unbelievably rude. The tall old bald man with glasses was so patronising -(he was the one at the front of the “genius” bar) definitely sexist as I know he’d NEVER speak to a man like that. I came in because my phone was still not working after fixing it and tell me why he was asking ME why and telling me I have to come in again and I asked what happens if it just happens again (as I literally had it working then not a few hours later as I left last time) and he got so annoyed and was like we can’t compensate you for your travel - as if I asked him to refund me travel money 💀 how about wasting my time much? Like how many times do I have to come in after it being “fixed” and I didn’t even say that I literally said to him “I know it’s not your fault but…” and he literally goes stop asking me a hypothetical LOL (saying he’ll resolve it like is that guaranteed??) so miserable he’s taking it out on a girl that’s simply asking politely as it’s obviously such a nuisance to go during my work breaks and before/after work as the Apple Store is closest to me there. Of course it is a valid question. What a rude, unprofessional man . The workers need to stop being so patronising, the guy who helped me fix it was not like that though. Customers ask me ACTUAL stupid questions at my workplace and I never respond the way he did.
