  My 18 year old walked in and got an awful tattoo, wrong size for her neck / face. Professionals are supposed to advise clients on what looks nice and what is suitable. I love tattoos - I have a few myself, but this is not suitable for the frame of her face and neck and looks awful. Didn’t even check her ID - turned 18 a couple of days ago! Here is the response to your response…….. Hi, Thanks for your response, but I need to correct a few points. My daughter is actually not happy with the tattoo at all, which is exactly why she is now booked in for laser removal with another studio. So the suggestion that she left satisfied doesn’t reflect how things have turned out. You’re right that 18-year-olds can make their own decisions. That’s not the issue here. The issue is the standard of professionalism. Most reputable tattoo studios would not only check ID properly, especially for someone who had just turned 18 days prior, but would also take responsibility for advising on placement, size, and suitability. That duty of care doesn’t disappear just because someone is legally an adult. If I were to show the tattoo to other artists, which I have done - I’m confident they would question both the lack of ID diligence and the quality of the work. The line work is poor, and the sizing and placement are completely unsuitable for her face and neck. A good artist guides their client, particularly with something so visible and permanent. To be clear, I am not “kicking off” because my daughter has a tattoo. I have tattoos myself. I am upset because she walked into what should have been a professional environment and came out with a poorly executed piece that she now regrets and is having removed. That’s the real issue here.   Went in to get an industrial piercing but found out I couldn’t get one due to my cartilage, Sandro was very nice and pleasant through the interaction and I ended up getting a helix instead. It was a pleasant experience. I also got a tattoo with Carl who squeezed me in last minute, spoke to me gently and made jokes that took my mind off the first tattoo experience. I’d highly recommend 😁
