  Scummy company, with scummy policies. Went to buy a monitor here. The salesperson barely spoke a word with me while processing the transaction and packing the monitor behind the desk. Held up an HDMI cable wordlessly at one point, but nothing else about the monitor was discussed. After I paid I realised they didn't sell me a power cable for it. When I pointed out that the screen is useless without the cable and that I'd like to return it (not even 2 minutes after I paid for it) I was told that they can only give me a voucher and that she could lose her job if she actually returned the money for the monitor.

  Pretty disappointed with their service . I left my xbox x for sale 4 days ago and i let them know it been opened for cleaning .They said ok you'll need to leave it with us for checks . I ask them to inform ones the checks were done . Yeah that didn't happened plus when i collected my item back i can clearly notice new deep markings scratches looks like its been dropped on the floor and the clerk told me I dont know it just been stored here ( my xbox it been dumped on a shelf with a bunch of devices on top of it nothing in between to protect scratches) . Then she pullup a bag with accessories asking me which ones are mine ... are you serious ? In first place you shouldn't accept a device that been opened if ur policy mention this , then i asked you to inform me when device will be done checked or denied for sale that didn't happened either and i got account with cex pretty easy to get in contact very careless with ppl goods

  I came in midday Monday 16th March to sell my Graphics card, Processor and Ram. All products are bought and sold on CEX The staff member who served me had no idea what they were looking at in regards to the processor and ram sticks and were trying to match the unique batch numbers of my processor with stock examples on their website which makes no sense. When I asked if they knew what the number eas that the said "Doesn't match up" they had no idea even what the number was! I even showed them the exact processor I was selling on their website and they just repeated the numbers dodnt match the picture! Terrible experience. Poor training on tech. Now I need to go out of my way to find a more competent staffed cex.

  Do not make a purchase from CeX and in particular this store. Look at the other reviews and a pattern is reveled of very dubious working practices. Highly likely to be taken advantage of and the 24 month warranty is not worth anything it is written on. I would say it is a ploy to sell you poor quality goods along with other tricks that i sadly fell foul of and lost out. There are forums online discussing the poor working practices and the empty promises of the 24 month warranty. Customer complaints will not accept a position that implies there is wrong doing by their stores / franchises. Look at the reviews, the Eltham store in particular is singled out as passing on poor quality goods that do not meet their own warranty requirements and then blaming the consumer. I really hope this store closes down and the management get found out for what they are up to. Absolutely awful. Soon to be 1 star and hopefully a better quality offering can take up a position in the market
