  We worked with Kelly & MacPherson Architects on the development of four properties, and we couldn’t have been happier with the service we received. As this was our first experience of applying for planning permission, we encountered a number of challenges and unexpected obstacles along the way. Kate’s expertise, guidance and persistence were invaluable throughout the process. Without her support, we would have struggled to navigate many of the issues that arose. Kate and the wider team were professional, responsive and incredibly knowledgeable from start to finish. They took the time to explain each stage clearly, provided practical solutions when problems occurred, and gave us confidence throughout what could otherwise have been a very stressful experience.   Hugh and Kate designed our new-build house. We've lived in it for just over a year now and we think it is just about carbon-neutral. It incorporates ground-source heating, an 8.8kW array of solar panels, a 10kW battery and we collect rain water for the WC's and the washing machine. They gave us some really good ideas and we're delighted with the outcome.

  Kelly and MacPherson have assisted us with three projects, the most significant being the design of our own house. We are novice self builders with minimal experience. Kate and Hugh transformed our initial brief into a graceful, practical design which has given us a very nice house. Despite the constraints of a small footprint, they managed to give more living space than we could have hoped for. Everything has been carefully considered from day one and Kate guided us through the planning process and beyond. Kate has always given freely of her advice and has a very welcome list of contacts. It has been a great experience working with Kate and Hugh. We unhesitatingly recommend their services.
