If you can get a lift, they're great (usually), but since the new system of letting drivers pick the fares, means they don't bother if it's not a long journey.
They're only still in business because they're the only option.
I've waited 45 minutes for a 5 minute trip because I can't walk that far.
And I'm currently waiting for a pick up that said it was dispatched 15 minutes ago, from 6 minutes away, then cancelled, so another driver accepted, but probably won't turn up either.

Didn't turn up on time. Yes they sent us a message to say that they wouldn't be on time. But this was sent after the time they was supposed to be here.

At 3.50pm I ordered a taxi to take me from Tesco and I was asked to wait until 4.30pm for available driver so I did. Like a fool it seems as I had messages saying it had arrived and reg was told. I looked around and called driver twice and gave up I was cold upset knowing it would be a struggle to get home on foot carrying shopping which wasn’t really good for me. They are usually nice but not today waiting for 40 minutes then no show!!!

Absolutely awful service.
Booked via their app the day before my trip. I had booked to be picked up at 8.15am in order to get a 9am train, plenty of time given it’s a 20/25 min drive.
Taxi didn’t arrive until 8.37am in which he was surprised as he had only been given the job a 5 minutes prior to picking me up.
Had tickets booked in advance costing £50+ missed my train and when trying to call the office no one picked up on at least 10 attempts.
I will never use a1 again and I will make sure I tell everyone about this experience.
