  If zero stars was possible that’s what I would rate this company. Called them a few weeks ago to get some info and prices to act as our solicitors for our house purchase. They took all our information and had no issues with it. Gave us a price etc. Called after to confirm we wanted them to act for us which they confirmed. Didn’t hear anything for a couple of weeks so I called them. Spoke to the owner Fiona. After asking for some information for our mortgage she informed us they were not acting for us ?! She then mentioned she emailed to say they could not act on our behalf. I did not receive this email. When asking her to resend the email she sent she couldn’t find it. To me this is pretty obviously that she just didn’t send the email and wasting our time. During the call she was extremely rude, unhelpful, talking over me etc (I can only assume because she knew she had messed up and went into attack mode 🤷🏻‍♂️) The reason why they couldn’t act for us is due to distance as she said we wouldn’t be able to come in person to sign anything. I’m not sure what age they are in but most people can handle sending documents electronically. But clearly the lack of ability to do this and send emails proves they can’t handle any sort of technology. Which to me is a concern when trying to buy a house as smoothly as possible. Many years ago we used the same company when Danielle was there. She was superb but clearly the new owner is unable to keep to any sort of professional standard. Interestingly she seemed to try and suggest that she needed to train the rest of her admin team to ensure mistakes like this don’t happen. Amazing to have the boss make a mistake and then try and put that mistake on the admin staff. The lack of accountability was incredible. Through the whole call there was not one apology for the confusion. Just rudeness and aggression from Fiona. If you want to have a rude, technologically and professionally struggling practice then go for here. However I would highly recommend you try other practices for buying your property.
