This is a big store in a handy location, and when I visited, I received friendly and helpful advice. However, the whole concept of being a shop is that you sell things, so that you can turn a profit, and this is where this branch falls well short. Twice now, I've gone to buy an item that is clearly showing as in stock but can't be found. Someone really needs to sort out their stock management - either that or they have someone pilfering... Disappointing.

I've used CEX several times before in other locations and always had a positive experience, which makes this visit even more disappointing. I took my items into the Manchester store at around 12pm and was given a price there and then. I was advised to return later, with my collection slip stating 19:30. After waiting the entire day and returning as instructed, I was then told that the watch I was selling required the original strap. This requirement was never mentioned when the item was first assessed and accepted earlier in the day. To make matters worse, I was also informed that one of my other items hadn't even finished testing yet, despite me returning at the agreed collection time. The lack of communication and wasted time is extremely frustrating. Had I been told about the strap requirement at the start, I could have dealt with it immediately and avoided making a pointless trip back. Very disappointed with the service on this occasion and would advise others to be cautious when using this branch. **Stay away if you value your time.** Other CEX stores have been great, but this experience at Manchester was far below the standard I expected.

We visited today, we wanted to buy a copy of Pokémon Snap. There was 3 people in front, two at the till and 1 waiting. We waited about 30 mins and no movement. Went on EBay while in the queue, got it for £5 cheaper and left.

I wish I could give 0 star. They sold me a faulty speaker. They didn’t even let me check just made me pay for it. When I went back to return they did not return my money but offered a voucher. Scammers
