  Over the years it's been ups and downs. I've got a few good things at good prices, sold some things at okay prices. But I've also gotten a dvd that was completely unusable, brought things in they had no idea what it was even when I showed them the product page, and killed a drive that was brought in that was previously working perfectly, opened up an SSD so the warranty is void now. The staff in mainly nice, apart from when I believe is the manager, she doesn't seem to know what she's talking abouta but standoffish and won't admit when she's wrong (and killed the drive).

  Staff are helpful. I had a fault with my AirPods Pro 2 and they took them back in twice before issuing a refund. When I bought another pair a few weeks later, the kind cashier took time to check the new earbuds and ensure I was happy with them. The 5 year warranty is super helpful. Initially the broken earbuds disappointed me, but the ease of returns and customer assistance was reassuring. Keep up the good work.

  Disappointing customer service. I wanted to trade in a lens I bought from this shop ten months ago. It was a Canon 180mm costing £440, last summer. They wouldn't take it as they said it had a little spot on one of the optics inside. I pointed out that it had come from them and not used very much but they insisted that it would not have had that little spot inside when they sold it to me. The local camera shop said that it is unlikely that ten months was sufficient time for that little fungus spot to appear from nothing and they are having it cleaned for me, at my expense of course. CEX had offered no support at all other than contacting, despite my enormous buying history from them in their stores and online as a photographer. I am really disappointed. Sadly I must advise photographers to be extra vigilant buying gear, especially from this store. Take a torch and inspect optics thoroughly. Buyer beware! Update...in response to the CEX reply to this review, I did as they suggested and received the same negative response. It looks as though investigating negative reviews is a priority but in actual fact the reply they have given is purely for affect, to make it look as though they investigate concerns. They don't and my review remains as a warning.
