    I went to the Apple Bromley store to purchase an iPad, came across Bernice very friendly and knowledgeable. She took her time and explained to me everything I needed to know. At the end, I ended up buying the iPad that was suitable for my daughter….. if you ever visit this store, and need good assistant then make sure you ask for Bernice she is a Apple guru when it comes to their products. I can say everyone was quite friendly with a good smile so this store has a good sense of humour and great Customer Service.

    Came in as unfortunately my iPhone16 Pro Max sustained a pretty devastating impact. Phone completely dead no power at all. diagnostics were done on the first visit and confirmed no power from the logic board, phone completely toasted. they honoured my AppleCare+ and replaced the phone with a brand new unit (16pro max) despite the 17 now out (thank god as i hate the 17pro). helped me with the entire process and explained that even though for some reason it never backed up despite having the icloud storage, the icloud photos sync separately and to my surprise 70% of them were still there! brilliant. even though i was sat there for a while because my apple id took ages to log in for some reason, it was a very stress free process and they really helped me out only charging the price of the screen excess on AppleCare+ for a new unit because that was the only physically damaged. brought many devices here and always been great, never had to use genius bar before buy my first repair experience was brilliant

    The two stars are only there because of the saving grace of the final technician I came in contact with who ACTUALLY has a sense of what customer service is. I unfortunately didn’t get his name whilst I was at the Genius Bar, but he was an absolute star! A gentleman who I believe is of Afro/carib descent and wears glasses and has locks/plaits (the one who actually changed my phone screen). He had to pick up the slack of service from his other colleagues, which is unfair to him as you’re then faced with an unpleased customer, which wasn’t a result of your own doing. The rest of “staff” I came in contact with seem to not have the slightest clue of what customer service is, which is ironic considering they’re working in a “customer facing” role. To start off the visit, I asked to be checked in for my appointment to fix my phone screen. After being told I’m checked in, I then had to wait 30 minutes at the Genius Bar and prompt “Jay” by asking when am I going to be served? Within those 30mins not one employee had the initiative to ask “have you been seen etc. “ instead they’re stood there gathering dust at the Genius Bar as if they’re the latest Mona Lisa on display for view. After typing my name in I see my appointment was marked as cancelled after arriving on time????? So you have staff who are meant to be “specialised” in apple products and tech, but can’t even do the simple task of checking a customer in correctly???which has then led to an excessive wait time for me which defeats the purpose of booking an appointment instead of doing a “walk in”. After prompting Jay to get the ball rolling with my appointment, whilst conducting the diagnostic he’s explaining the price of the service I require to which I interjected to inform him I’m doing it via my insurance with Vodafone. At this point I’ve pulled up the insurance policy to show him so he can confirm if I’m eligible for the service I require. He then replies “I can’t be asked to read all that” TWICE. I don’t know if it’s due to learning difficulties perhaps or just pure laziness as to maybe why he didn’t want to read it ( given it was no more than 800 words on a page with the key info in bold to make it easier for those who ‘can’t be asked’). I even offered to read it for him, to which he declined, guess he isn't a fan of reading. My annoyance grew a lot more visible and Jay finally moved with efficiency and brought out the final technician who actually knows how to speak to and handle customers. Maybe boost up the educational minimum requirements when hiring. Seems any and everyone can get a job in apple these days and get handed a technician role.
