  I had 2 wooden chairs restored and reupholstered with Kendals. I am delighted with the outcome. The workmanship is excellent, the wood beautifully restored and the upholstery excellent quality. Highly recommend.

  From the start when John came to the house ,measured up gave us some great advice and ideas the journey was excellent. Quote received straight away. Pick up and drop off on time. All the staff are very obliging. But most of all the work we had done on our corner sofa was excellent. Highly recommend this company. 10/10

  Kendals did an amazing job: I'd bought a cheap 1950s wooden sofa off ebay, now I have a work of art in exactly the colour and material I chose, for less than a brand new sofa would have been. Plus it's not soaked in dodgy chemicals!

  I sent my 1930's sofa to Kendals for a full restoration. I have had this sofa since the 1990's so it had already had a lot of wear and continued to be thrashed a bit. After a delightful conversation with John, the upholsterer I decided go to with Kendal's. It arrived back safe and sound and looks completely beautiful. It is such a pleasure to see this sofa in its full glory!! I am very happy with how it has been restored and am looking forward to enjoying it for many years to come. The two delivery guys are fabulous!! Professional, cheerful and very friendly. Loved my dealings with them both when they took the sofa away and brought it back It has been a pleasurable experience dealing with Kendals and I certainly hope that I have the opportunity again!!   We are delighted to have found Kendals and have been to them three times over the past year, for re-upholstery of a piano stool, and restoration of both a small mahogany cabinet and an old mirror frame. It was a treat to be in the hands of such craftsmen and artists. We felt they had clear expertise, reasonable pricing agreed up front, no hidden charges, and work completed to a very high standard well within the timeline agreed. If you have not yet decided, they also have a huge display of materials for upholstery, frames, etc, and they can advise more generally - for instance, we took in a sample of a possible material which we had at home, and were promptly shown a number of possible fabrics which came closest to what we took in - it would have taken us ages to find them within all the possible fabrics on offer, but of course to the trained and artistic eye it was immediately obvious and we could then choose our fabric very quickly. A pleasure to deal with and highly recommended - we look forward to returning.
