  Brilliant organisation and willingness to tailor their assistance to our needs. Logistics were handled perfectly and our Tour Guide was exceptional in all respects. As a group, we do a tour a year. It is a very special time for us and we are careful about who is involved. I would use ‘In the Footsteps’ again and will discuss our next trip with them…..to Monte Cassino.

  Hello All,my name is Tony Evola and I hold the distinction of having had the longest tour in the history of this fine company...25 days. As a boy I became fascinated with history and became well read by the time I was ten years old. As the years went by I wanted to be able to visit all the places I had seen in pictures and read about .Well it had to wait till I was an old man but I contacted JO at In the Footsteps and laid out my tour request. I am here to tell you that both IAN and JO set about designing a trip of a lifetime a real bucket list tour. I let Jo know of my special needs as I had some disabilities and infirmities and boy did they deliver. So whether it is transportation,medical assistance or just plain being older I encourage you all to send them your requirements and they will help you with anything that you might feel is a limiting factor about your tour. Our guides were strangers when we met them and we parted as friends. David, Ian and Bob were pleasant, friendly,knowledgeable and even laughed at all of my jokes! As both my wife Jeanine and I have had multiple orthopedic surgeries they were patient, helpful and carried our bags or helped deliver them to our rooms.I was fortunate to have three men who also loved history and were all retired Colonels in the British army. Finally I lucked out in having two of my guides be the outgoing president of the tour guide association (Ian) and the incoming president(Bob). My reason for writing this extensive review is simply this: if you are looking for a tour of two days or one month,please do yourself a favor and contact In the Footsteps. I know that I will never be the same as I too have now walked the hallowed ground that was paid for with the ultimate sacrifice by our ancestors who gave us the freedoms that we enjoy today.   My family had an amazing time on our trip. Jo and Ian planned and executed a perfect itinerary fit for our family. For someone who isn’t the biggest war history geek in my family, the tours were extremely interesting and easy to follow along with Ian’s notes/diagrams/extreme expertise. Each stop on our tour was very memorable, and everyone walked away with tons of takeaways. Aside from the tours, each hotel/restaurant was picked with intention and fit our family great. As long as you communicate what your’e looking for, they’ll be able to find exactly what you want. Thanks to both Jo and Ian for an unforgettable trip to celebrate my Dad’s 60th birthday! I would 100% recommend to anyone interested.

  I undertook a medieval tour including Harfluer, Crecy and Agincourt with this group. Thoroughly enjoyed, can recommend.
