This company came to our adjoining neighbour to replace a fence with a wall with a clear instruction to the neighbour, who assured me the message was passed on, not to destroy just one of a number of plants along the boundary, but they dug it out anyway. The plant was a gift from my late mother before she passed, providing a harvest each early summer for the last 20 years which generated some excitement for the family. Having challenged the man in the mini digger he asserted (incorrectly) that the plant was not specifically on our land as the boundary 'was where the concrete ended'. Actually, the concrete ended where our planting border started. There was no apology or notice that this would happen- just 'you can report it as many times as you want' when I objected. So I'm reporting it once. We could have saved and moved the plant.
The neighbour has kindly offered to replace it so no criticism there, but I note the website quotes 'precision and care' in its work. Really?
I have given two stars as the team then seemed helpful and other members helped me move my pots and plants to our garden. But this did matter and I was made to feel as if it was just trivia.
